We don’t just build houses for shelter, but also to provide a sense of ‘home’. However, we are not the only beings who do this; certain birds also show this type of behavior; like the bowerbird. This concept has inspired the artists: their installation follows the principle of the exoskeleton – a structure turned inside out.

Building techniques that are inspired by animals are used more often in architecture, which is called organic architecture. Nest by Vikas Patil and Santosh Gujar is inspired by this movement, triggering us to look at buildings with an open mind.
